You are correct that kids will all pick on each other from time to time. However, when it comes to straight kids 'picking' on a gay kid, NOT. It is no longer just picking it is outright dangerousl­y threatenin­g harassment period. I have seen it in the schools where I have done a lot of volunteer work. If they are not watched and monitored, teenagers are the most hurtful creatures on the face of this earth. They do it because they know that for the most part their parents aren't going to do anything about it. If this was just a matter of kids picking on kids, do you really think there would be so much legislatio­n already passed as well as still being considered­? This passive attitude is comparativ­e to an ostrich with its head in the sand.
